Experience

Trek Health

Data Scientist Intern · San Jose, CA
  • Built a full-stack LLM-powered policy metadata pipeline to automate healthcare policy analysis for Trek Health’s AI product, integrating AWS Lambda-triggered web scraping, GPT-4o prompt engineering, and Snowflake ingestion, enabling real-time updates from newly released policies.
  • Developed Snowflake SQL workflows to transform and join LLM-extracted metadata with client targeting rules by specialty, region, and policy type, powering personalized notifications and contract strategy insights for enterprise healthcare clients.
  • Designed a Dockerized DeepSeek-R1 Synthetic Data Generator via Ollama to create synthetic datasets from question lists for NLP training, producing per-question CSVs with realistic short answers and descriptions. Leveraged these datasets to fine-tune a custom BERT-BiLSTM-CRF model for extracting structured metadata from confidential healthcare contracts.
